Christopher Gonzalez

has a foundation forged under the coaching prowess of Tom Lalicato at St. Mary’s High school. He clinched consecutive county championships during his junior and senior years. Transitioning into coaching, Coach Gonzalez served as the assistant coach for St. Mary’s boys varsity team from 2005 to 2007. Since then, he has been teaching fundamental basketball skills to the Jersey City youth at local courts throughout the city. In 2018, Coach Gonzalez joined the renowned NJ Playaz AAU program as a biddy basketball coach. In 2019, he founded the program Team Next which allowed youth to participate in local leagues and tournaments at no cost to the players. Currently, is a part-time coach for the Hurley Family Foundation’s basketball clinics, working alongside the legendary Bob Hurley Sr., perpetuating a legacy of skill development and mentorship.
