Middle School Boys EAST National 13U

Mario Lugo was a four-year varsity starter at Emerson High School (Union City, NJ) where he scored 1,421 points. During his junior and senior years, he earned All-County First Team honors and during his senior year he was named First-Team All State. Coach Lugo was later inducted into the Hall of Fame at Emerson High School. He continued his basketball career at NJIT, earning a full basketball scholarship. After college, Coach Lugo began coaching youth basketball at St. Michael’s in Union City, returning to where he grew up playing basketball. He has also coached the North Bergen travel team, leading his teams to multiple championships. Coach Lugo is looking forward to adding to the continuing success and development of the United AAU basketball family.
